showcasing artists from these inspired labels:

http://breakdancethedawn.com/

black petal (tokyo based boutique cdr catalogue for personal psychadelia, broken heart and mind love songs, and heavy rock in immaculate handmade artwork and super limited edition)

For 10 years the notorious ‘What is Music?’ festival enabled, encouraged, and tolerated the most original and outrageous experiments in music making and sound culture in Australia. After cooling off in 2007, WIM? co-founder Robbie Avenaim has flicked the action switch back on with some exciting new WIM? action for 2008.. Audiopollen Social Club is super proud to host Robbie Avenaim in Brisbane performing his incredible automated percussion work with local avant-composer Erik Griswald. To celebrate the occasion we’ve also invited Robbie to curate the evening, exploring his special interest in extreme collaborations involving kids, adults, teenagers, seniors, and the ageless. In addition, APSC also welcomes one of our favourite artists British slide guitar hero Mike Cooper who, having spent the week in Brisbane giving workshops and imparting his unique knowledge, will collaborate with the workshop attendees on a new performance!
